Notepad++
There is no perfect editor, and never will be. My preferences for an editor are:
- Able to deal with ASCII as well with Unicode files
- User-definable font
- Syntax highlighting
Notepad++ is offering this for free, although the syntax coloring features are limited I'm afraid.
