If you find that in particular the small sizes of your preferred APL Unicode font look very ugly indeed in a browser (any browser that is), but just fine in, say, the session manager of MS Word, well, there is something you can do.

Follow these steps which are taken from XP:

  1. Open "Start > Setting > Control Panel"

  2. Select "Display"
  3. Select Tab "Appearance"
  4. Click button "Effects"
  5. From the selection box underneath "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" select "ClearType"

  6. Click OK and OK
  7. Press F5 if you are already looking at a page with APL chars.
